Job Description
Account Executive, London
Do you work front of house in hospitality and want to stay in the industry you love and get properly paid for what you are already good at?
A hospitality technology company whose platform runs live restaurant operations is growing its sales team.
📍 Field based across London, visiting venues in person, with flexible hours planned around your meetings
💷 £42,000 base, plus uncapped commission paid monthly. OTE £58,000 to £70,000 at target
🤝 Interview Process:
4 stages:
- Screening call with the Operations and Growth Manager
- Interview and role play with the Head of Sales
- Informal in-person meet with the team
- Final conversation with the Founders
What You Sell: point of sale, reservations and venue operations software for restaurants, bars and cafes. The platform already runs day-to-day operations for venues across the UK.
- Over 100 million transactions processed
- Series A closing, revenue growing month on month
- Two plans to sell, plus a reservations product to upsell into new and existing venues
- Around half of new business comes from inbound leads, all passed to the sales team
- Venue owners refer other owners, so a good book of clients compounds
The next step is putting more people in front of venue owners. That is where you come in.
You will own the full relationship with every venue you sign, from the first conversation to go-live and beyond.
The RoleYou find your own venues, walk in, get the owner or manager talking and book the demo. You run it in person or online, set the venue up, train the staff and stay their main contact afterwards.
You report into the Head of Sales and work alongside the Operations and Growth Manager and the Founders.
Around half your signups will come from inbound leads passed straight to you. The rest comes from referrals, your own network and canvassing. Email-only selling does not work here.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Walking into restaurants, bars and cafés and opening conversations with owners and managers
- Building your own pipeline from your network, referrals, inbound leads and canvassing
- Running product demos in venue and over video
- Setting venues up, training their teams and getting them live
- Providing after-sales support so your venues stay and refer others
- Upselling reservations to new and existing venues
- Feeding back what venue owners need to the product team
Experience We Are Looking For:
- Front-of-house experience in hospitality: bar, restaurant, club or hotel
- Proof you can sell face to face, whether that is upselling wine at the table, building a loyal crowd of regulars or hitting targets in a sales job
- Comfortable talking to venue owners as an equal and hearing "no" without losing momentum
- Organised enough to run your own diary, pipeline and follow-ups without being chased
- Available for some evenings and weekends, because that is when venues are open
- Comfortable with tech: you will demo on a Mac and iPad
Nice To Have:
- Sales experience in POS, payments, delivery platforms, drinks supply or FMCG
- A network of venue owners and managers in your city
- A second language
Benefits:This is not for someone who wants a desk job selling by email. It is for someone who can walk into a busy room and own it, and wants their earnings to reflect the work they put in.
Not a 9-5. Evenings and weekends when venues need you. Judged on signups.
